A long day draws to a close. It was a good day and a hot one. Tonight it is overcast and a strong wind blows through the trees. It is like music to my ears. I grew up listening to the wind in the pines. There is peace in the sights and sounds of natural. Thank goodness I am under the porch and safe from the steady fall of pine cones. These are small, knotted and deadly weapons. A light rain has started. Maybe it will help with the fires. As you gather together tonight, look at the previous faces of those you love.
