Fond Memories

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day is underway. I slept past the dawn and it sure felt good. It is a peaceful morning with only a slight breeze blowing in my face. My thoughts run to the upcoming holidays and how my Mama would go all out making pies and cakes. The house always smelled wonderful with fresh baked bread on the counter. Halloween

Another day draws to a close. It was a good day. I sewed most of the day and walked a little on the property. My capture is from a beautiful spot on the lawn. The sun filtered through the trees and made a peaceful retreat. I am heading to a Halloween Party so I wanted to wish ya’ll Sweet Dreams. May your evening be filled with love and laughter. Memories

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn.  It is a cold start to the day. My capture is from yesterday.  It reminded me of my Daddy. I love the leaves on the roads and lawns. I tried to convince my Dad that it was beautiful to have pinecones decorating the yard, but he wouldn’t have it. The yard had to be raked, mowed and the cones all picked up. Appreciation

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. It is unusually still out this morning. There is no breeze and the rooster must be sleeping in. Oh, there is the breeze now and the rooster. All is well as night turns to day. The sunrise will be hidden by clouds, but I can still see the beauty of a new day. There is beauty in all seasons of life and nature. Time takes a toll on the body, but our true beauty lies within a heart filled with love, compassion and kindness. We learn to let the little things go and accept one another for who they are inside and not their financial status. Love knows no boundaries. Believe

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. I can hear the sound of rain on the roof as I sit in the darkness of the pre-dawn day. God has chosen to awaken me to another day. Each morning when my feet hit the floor, I say, Thank you Lord for another day. Sometimes when I am weary and worn, I ask why Lord, why. I sit in silence waiting for an answer. The grief is too great to understand the greater plan or hear the answers. Have faith and hang in there. Let the beauty of God’s love and His words bring peace to your soul. I captured a hit of God’s promise yesterday as I stopped to capture the sun breaking through the clouds. It you look to the left, you can see a rainbow forming. Believe. Pops and Creaks

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. The wind is howling through the trees and my little house pops and creaks with each gust. It makes me giggle to hear the sound. I kinda pop and creak myself every time I get out of the chair. It is an age thing. Thank goodness I work with a chiropractor who keeps me moving. A life well lived takes a toll on our bodies. Sometimes we get so busy taking care of others that we forget the person in the mirror. Take the time to take care of yourself. Make your health, both mental and physical, a priority. It is said that we can always find time for the important things in life. You are a precious gift from God to your family and friends. Rainbows

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. Overcast skies and drizzling rain start the new day. I don’t mind the rain, because I am looking for a rainbow that I know will appear when the sun does peek through the clouds. Rain or shine, this new day is a gift of life and I am grateful to have another chance to share God’s light. Sometimes I don’t shine so bright, but I remind myself to look for the rainbows of life. Vintage

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. I can see the mountain through the darkness. White clouds hover all around the peak. I bet it is snowing up there. The last week of October is upon us and Halloween parties are being planned for the kids. Trick or treating seems to be another thing of the past. Things from my childhood and my childrens generation are now considered vintage. Vintage items are the thing to own. I wish the people buying the vintage items could have grown up in my world where it was safe to play outside with your neighbors and Sunday dinner at Mama’s was an event. Time moves on and we all grow and adapt to change. In this ever changing world, remember that God’s love for you remains the same. Believe and hold tight to your faith. Stages of Beauty

My day draws to a close. It was a good day. It rained off and on and I stayed inside. Sewing and movies kept me busy. I did venture to the dumpster to take out the trash. I captured these beauties alongside the driveway. Leaves are starting to fall and littered the ground with their beauty. All stages of life can be beautiful. Enjoy the moment you are in.
