An awesome day comes to a close. The sun managed to shine a little light on the clouds as it set. A beautiful sight to behold. We shared a meal and our lives. We will soon snuggle down for a movie. It is hot and humid at 5 a.m. The mosquitoes and I look out into the darkness of the morning. Stars twinkle in the sky as the clouds put on a lightning show below. Both beautiful in their own ways. There is so much beauty in everyday things we take for granted. The pines that grace my yard stand tall. They are scarred from weathering years of storms , but stay anchored to the ground providing a resting place for God’s creatures. The sun rises and sets each day unnoticed by many, yet the glory and splendor is unsurpassed in beauty all over the world. Like the trees, we are weathered by the storms of life. Anchor yourself in your faith, stand strong against the storms and be the shelter of kindness and love for all God’s creations. Find joy in the beauty of everyone and everything you see.
