Light

A long day draws to a close. It was a good day and very busy. I saw three rainbows today. One early this morning on the way to work and two separate ones at lunch. The color had faded as I got back to capture the moment. As darkness fell, I saw the lights shining from a Christmas tree down the hill. I ran outside in the rain to capture this beauty. I was so excited to see a spark of goodwill and love. We all need a light in the darkness to warm our hearts. Say your prayers and be grateful. Rest Well and Sweet Dreams ❤

Color your world

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day is awaiting the dawn. Clear skies and twinkling stars welcome me to the porch. Yep, it is too cold to be outside. I quickly absorb the peace and beauty of the day and inhale the fresh air. I am thankful for eyes that can see the beauty of God’s creation and a way to share that beauty with my friends. We all see a different world through eyes that have seen love, loss, joy and pain. Don’t let the bad times color your view of the world. See the miracle in each heartbeat and breath you take. Simple Things

A long day draws to a close and boy was it a busy day. I just had to share my morning laugh. Each morning I walk down to the Dog River Coffee shop to grab us coffee. With the newly reinstated Covid restrictions, no customers are allowed to sit at the tables. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed two customers at tables. Upon inspection, it was Will Ferrell and Chevy Chase mock-ups. I busted out laughing. Maybe you just had to be there. Find joy in the simple things. Say your prayers and be grateful. Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. The sky is clear and filled with twinkling stars. The rooster is silent, if only for a short while. I can make out the snowy peak of the mountain in the darkness. Thank you Lord for another day to share and shine your light. Holidays are hard for people who have lost loved ones or families who can’t gather because of Covid. We all need each other and our support systems. These times have taken a toll on emotions and families. Show a little extra kindness to each other as you go along your day. You never know what heavy load a heart is carrying. Rainbow

A long day draws to a close. It was a good day filled with a lot of patients. It is a short week due to the holiday. I captured a rainbow right after lunch. I hope ya’ll aren’t getting tired of them. The wind is silent and it feels like a peace on earth moment for just a little while. It is easy to tuck yourself away and forget about the troubles in our world. You only have to enter a town to see the homeless, cold and hungry. I am blessed to have a roof over my head and food on the table. Remember to give to your local food banks and churches. There are many without jobs and families to feed. Life is tough, but if we all give a little, it can go a long way to help those in need. We are all God’s children. Friends

A long day draws to a close. It was a good day. I visited with some friends from Florida that I had not seen in a long time. It was good to catch up and see their smiling faces. Sometimes you don’t realize how much you miss people until you see them again. Life moves on and changes. It is easy to let old friendships slip away. Keep in touch with those you love. They are a part of your heart that needs to be kept warm with smiles and laughter. The sun sets with cloudy skies, but the view is still breathtaking. Say your prayers and be grateful. Good Morning Everyone! Another beautiful day is underway. I actually was able to sleep in until 7:30 this morning. Clouds cover the sky and a lone hummingbird is at the feeder. It was frozen yesterday as he tried in vain to get the nectar to flow. My capture today is Mount Adams showing off his beautiful white coat of snow. It shines like a beacon in the distance. Sunset

A long day draws to a close. It was a good day and I got a lot accomplished around the house. A quick run into town yielded this beautiful sunset capture. The mountain was beautiful as usual, but the sky took center stage in showing God’s glory. As day turns to night, I am snuggled up waiting to watch the new Hallmark movies. Amazing

A long day draws to a close. It was a good day. I worked a few hour, ran errands and got my eyes checked. I went to three grocery stores and could not find any Jim Dandy Hot Rise corn meal for my dressing. Quaker Oats was the only one on the shelf. Now mind you that they have every grain, bean and flours imaginable but only one corn meal. Go figure. I guess cornbread is not a thing here. I will make it work.
