Simple Things

A long day draws to a close and boy was it a busy day. I just had to share my morning laugh. Each morning I walk down to the Dog River Coffee shop to grab us coffee. With the newly reinstated Covid restrictions, no customers are allowed to sit at the tables. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed two customers at tables. Upon inspection, it was Will Ferrell and Chevy Chase mock-ups. I busted out laughing. Maybe you just had to be there. Find joy in the simple things. Say your prayers and be grateful. Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. The sky is clear and filled with twinkling stars. The rooster is silent, if only for a short while. I can make out the snowy peak of the mountain in the darkness. Thank you Lord for another day to share and shine your light. Holidays are hard for people who have lost loved ones or families who can’t gather because of Covid. We all need each other and our support systems. These times have taken a toll on emotions and families. Show a little extra kindness to each other as you go along your day. You never know what heavy load a heart is carrying.
