Gift

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. The silence of the morning soothes my soul as I watch the landscape, say my prayers and think about the gift of a new day. Adventures are fun, but it is nice to sleep in your own bed. I am still on vacation until Tuesday, but today I will catch up on paperwork and get ready for next week. There is always work to be done, but we have to make time to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Go for a walk, have a picnic, reach out to a friend or just watch the birds. Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. It has been a long night. I took the Red Eye from Hawaii to Salt Lake City and then I will be on to Hood River. Two hours sleep is hard on this old body, but I had an amazing adventure. My capture was our send off at the airport in Hawaii. The people are friendly and the weather is warm with a gentle breeze. Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits the dawn. A gentle breeze surrounds me as I listen to the sounds of the morning in the city. My capture is my final sunset for this trip. My heart is grateful for the opportunity to fulfill a lifetime dream. Yesterday we tried the Diamond Head hike again. My back did not allow me to even start, but I enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation as my friends took the hike. Sometimes you have to know your limitations. Aloha to Hawaii. We will meet again. Adventures

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day has dawned. Sounds of the morning are in full swing as busses and cars start to fill the roadways. Diamond Head was full by the time we arrived. We drove around the island enjoying the scenery and stopped to climb the Pill Box hike. It was an old look out during the war. I did not make it to the top, but did pretty good on the steep rocky terrain. The views were amazing and my attempt was rewarded with a burger and Mai Tai from Buzz’s Steakhouse. I took a lot of pictures of the flowers, ocean and mountains as we headed back to watch the sunset. It was a great day. Share Heart ❤️ And Shine Bright.

New Adventures

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day is dawning. My coffee is brewing as I watch the sun rise over Diamond Head. It is a volcanic cone. I am going on a new adventure to climb a part of that big thing. I will let yall know how I do. The city is up and running with bells, sirens and horns. The rooster wasn’t so bad after all. Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day is dawning. The sounds of traffic and people moving start early here. Yesterday, we soaked up more sun and flavors of Hawaii. A hotel change and new friends coming in today make for a different adventure. As I watched the sun set, memories of growing up on the Gulf Coast filled my brain. Sun and sand was a way of life and I was blessed to have that experience as a youth. It doesn’t matter where you go in this world, take the time at sunset, as God writes His love letter to His children, to say Thank You for life, family, love, friends and another day. Good Morning Everyone! I slept in and a beautiful day is up and running. We went to a luau last night at a botanical garden on the North Shore. The day was spent soaking in the sights and sounds of the ocean. They have rocking chairs under this big Banyan tree in my capture. A cool breeze blew in my face as I read my book and lived in the moment. The Luau was filled with music, laughter and yummy food. It was hard to unwind and let myself fall asleep. Little Pleasures

Good Morning Everyone! Another beautiful day is underway.  My capture is the gorgeous sunset last night on the beach. We all gathered as if in a ritual to watch the glory of the heavens fill the sky with color. It was a wonderful day. I was treated to a massage and scrub at a local spa. It was a nourishing and enriching experience.  Local cuisine filled our bellies as we bask in the golden rays of the sun. Grab Life

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day is underway. Yesterday was a down day. We went to the ocean and walked on the beach. After lunch, we joined the kids in the pool. Everyone sat and watched a Disney movie and went to bed a little late. The little one had night terrors at 3 am so we are tired today. Proof of Life

Good Morning Everyone! A beautiful new day awaits. It is 6:30 am as I sip my coffee on the balcony. It is just past dawn and a group is doing yoga on the lawn. We started yesterday with an “easy” hike to the Moana Falls. Beautiful lush foliage surrounded us as we climbed almost straight up the rocky path. Frequent stops were required to allow me to catch my breath. I stopped before I reached the top and sent the kids on to finish. My friends husband came back to encourage me to make the final stretch. I did and it was worth it just to say I could do it. We then went to the North Shore and Waimea Bay Park. Surfers were out in the treacherous waters. Kids played in the sand and I listened to the waves crash on the shore. My Happy Place soothed my spirit and rejuvenated my mind. It was a wonderful day and I learned that I can do a lot more than I thought. I took a lot of pictures and I will post in my story. Hugs and love. You can do it if I can.
